Fresh poultry firm Faccenda is to rebrand as Faccenda Foods at the end of this month.
The Brackley, Northants-based firm will adopt its new name from 29 April, to coincide with the full integration of turkey producer Cranberry Foods, which it acquired in May 2012. Andy Dawkins, managing director, Faccenda, said: Becoming Faccenda Foods allows us to leverage the diverse capabilities of our chicken and turkey operations, further improving the great service, quality and product range we offer our customers. We also felt that, with the integration of the businesses, we had the opportunity to re-energise our brand proposition as a fresh and convenience food supplier.
The firm is close to completing work to its new factory at Telford. It said the new 100,000sq ft purpose-built portioning facility, will transform its processing capabilities. In January, the group announced an increase in pre-tax profits to £5m in 2012-13, up from £3.5m the year before. Turnover rose by £13.6m to £365m, while operating profit increased from £4.2m to £5.1m. The figures did not take into account the results from Cranberry Foods.
According to the firm, current turnover stands at around £400m
