The Food Standards Agency has announced the seizure of evidence in Yorkshire and London in the latest development in its horsemeat investigations.
The news comes after the FSA announced the arrest of three individuals by Dyfed-Powys Police on suspicion of fraud as a result if the investigation into the use of horse meat in the food chain. The agency said it would not be making any further comments regarding these arrests.
However, it added that it had entered three premises, two in Tottenham, North London and one in Hull with local authorities and the police. They removed computers, documentary evidence and also took meat samples for testing.
The FSA added that it has submitted a full file and evidence on to Europol. The agency has continued to provide informtaion to Europol and law enforcement agencies in 35 countries across Europe and elsewhere
