This is a great role with growth opportunities in a business which invests in engineering.
We are looking for an experienced engineering manager to lead site engineering with a leading food and beverage manufacturing business. You will be applying your people and engineering knowledge to improve plant performance and move towards World Class Engineering. This is a business which invests in engineers and plant.
The role:
- You will be responsible for the site engineering function across maintenance, capital project, strategy and improvement work.
- You will be responsible for setting the engineering agenda to deliver reliability that can deliver against operational needs as well as providing great service to internal customers.
- Able to lead through managers.
- You will need to promote best practice and have a results orientated approach with an emphasis on delivering results through the effective leadership of your team.
- In addition you will play a key role as part of the site management team.
Your experience:
- You should be a qualified engineer and have experience of managing a large site engineering team in an FMCG, processing or food manufacturing environment.
- A flexible and hands on approach to people management is essential, you must be able to motivate a team and deliver improvements through effective people management.
- You will be able to demonstrate accountability and effective delivery of goals and have broad engineering skills and a passionate approach that will inspire your team.
- You should be an innovative thinker and be able to develop creative solutions to problems.
- A self motivated individual with high energy levels, you can calmly react to unexpected business demands to achieve the desired results.
- Experience of providing engineering capability for a growing operation is desirable.
- Able to take people with you through sensible change.
