A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a £multi-million food manufacturing business which manufactures high quality chilled products to a multitude of retail customers. Our client is one of the market leaders within their sector and they pride themselves on quality of product and delivering exceptional customer service.  They have identified a need to recruit a self-motivated Engineering Manager with high energy levels, who can calmly react to unexpected business demands to achieve the desired results.  


 


The Role:             

  • Reporting into the Operations Director you will be focusing on the core elements of the site engineering function
  • Setting standards and targets, monitoring performance and reviewing ways to continuously improve within good manufacturing practices
  • You will manage a shift-based maintenance team and take responsibility for the day to day cut and thrust of the facility whilst also overseeing any new installations and improvements.
  • You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a robust maintenance system that can deliver against operational needs as well as providing a first class service to internal and external customers.
  • Develop and drive a best practice and world class approach to engineering.
  • Be part of the senior site team.

 


The Person:

  • A relevant Engineering qualification and significant experience of managing a team within an engineering function
  • Experience of working within manufacturing, ideally food or beverage manufacturing
  • Thorough knowledge of legislation relating to engineering and good practice
  • An ability to demonstrate developing other team members
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy
  • An ability to project plan and experience of continuous improvement activity.
  • Experience of working within a automated, high volume continuous process environment.
