This is a fantastic opportunity to join a £multi-million food manufacturing business supplying premium products to the major retailers. Working from a state of the art facility your role will be critical in the day to day leadership and co-ordination of a busy fleet.
The role:
- You will have full responsibility for managing a large team of drivers on a shift basis.
- The role will be centered around mapping daily deliveries and multi drop route planning.
- You will manage the Transport function on a shift basis and liaise closely with the warehouse team to ensure service levels are met.
- You’ll work with your team to ensure effective standards and training are met for each individual to excel.
Your experience:
- You will have previous experience of working within a fast paced quick turn around transport and distribution environment.
- Previous experience of multi-temperature distribution would be a distinct advantage as would exposure to movement of food products.
- CPC qualification would be advantageous but not essential.
- You will have led transport teams and be able to show the ability to manage, motivate and coach teams.
