You will be working for a dynamic business that has gone through a period of significant investment and growth. We are seeking a transport professional who can manage the full end to end process of transport planning activities ensuring customer needs are met.
The role:
- Responsibility for planning deliveries with a focus on route optimisation ensuring customer requirements are met and exceeded.
- Maintain effective reporting of KPI’s and analysis of key data to make appropriate recommendations
- Develop strong partnership orientated relationships with customers
- Solutions orientated, you’ll plan ahead to ensure relevant levels of support are in place and unexpected issues are resolved quickly
- Maintain excellent knowledge of current legislation
- The Person:
- You will have previous experience of working within a fast paced transport and distribution environment in a planning orientated role.
- Previous experience of multi-temperature distribution would be a distinct advantage
- Highly organised with excellent communication skills and able to co-ordinate a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent IT and systems skills, experience of working with planning systems including Excel. Previous SAP/equivalent knowledge is highly advantageous.
