This role is responsible for leading and coaching a production team for a multi-national, food manufacturing business. They are a leading business in their field. You will apply your knowledge and people skills to continually improve plant performance.
Responsibilities;
- Actively engage and lead a diverse operational team.
- Take the team with you to improve operational performance – sustainability through people.
- Working towards improvement through the effective, efficient and safe utilisation of assets and materials to agreed targets and standards.
- Lead operating loss analysis and work with the team to solve problems.
- In addition to working towards existing KPIs, you will be responsible for a number of projects designed to generate improvements across the area.
- Able to understand and deliver line financial performance.
- Set the direction
You and your experience;
- Team and positive people management experience is key!
- Great if educated to degree standard but not essential.
- Background in quality driven, high volume manufacturing. Food manufacturing or FMCG experience is a bonus.
- Engineering knowledge is a benefit
- KPI focused and enjoys problem solving.
- Lean or CI qualified is an advantage
