The role:
- As a key advisor to the site management team you will manage and influence the site Health & Safety performance. This will include complete review of existing practises and the recommendation and implementation of new procedures as appropriate.
- You will liaise with relevant external bodies and have strong influencing and training skills working closely with operations and management teams.
- You must share H&S best practise on a site and group basis and support the site audit programme. You will manage risk assessments and the investigation of all incidents and work to ensure best practice as well as support the site environment standards.
About You:
- We are seeking a NEBOSH / IOSH or equivalent qualified candidate with experience of working in a complex manufacturing environment. FMCG/Distribution experience would be essential for this role.
- You should champion Health & Safety with a focus on working with teams to develop positive H&S behaviours. You must show a track record of delivering improvement and effective management and resolution of related issues.
- You’ll be a hands on individual happy to be involved with teams on the shop floor and who will complete the whole process on site from recommendation through to training and implementation.
