A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a £multi-million food business manufacturing high quality chilled product to a multitude of retail customers and delivering to stores daily from their state of the art facility in Buckinghamshire. Our client is one of the market leaders within their sector and they pride themselves on quality of product and delivering exceptional customer service. Due to significant investment in the factory they have now identified a need to recruit a forward thinking, technology and system focused Production Manager.
The Role:
- Reporting into the Production Director you will take responsibility for managing a small shift team in this highly automated / state of the art facility.
- Delivering business improvement by the setting of effective KPis as well as the effective leadership and motivation of your team.
- Ensure costs are reduced, making sure efficiencies are improved whilst delivering the daily production plan.
- Ensure volume targets are achieved within the high quality levels that are expected.
- Focused on making sure that the manufacturing operation is best in class.
The Person:
- You will currently be a Shift Manager, Production Manager or indeed supervisor looking for the next step.
- It is essential that you are or have worked within a highly automated, high volume continuous manufacturing process and are incredibly comfortable working with automated technology.
- A knowledge of Siemens would be an advantage as would experience gained within a bakery environment.
- You must demonstrate a good approach to people management and the ability to work to tight KPIs on site.
- The ability to motivate and inspire a team of people is essential as is the ability to effectively manage performance issues.
- You will be a manager that leads from the factory floor and can deliver improvements through people.
