A great opportunity has arisen for a Laboratory Technician to join a major independent food research association. This hands on role will focus on undertaking microbiological testing activities in the food and drink industries.
The role:
- Testing of food samples using PCR and DNA based methods
- Sample preparation and effective reporting
- Supervising and mentoring of junior team members
- Contribute to audit activity and maintaining exceptional lab standards
Your experience:
- Hands on experience already gained in a microbiology lab environment.
- Knowledge of microbiological techniques
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, attention to detail
- Ability to work on projects either under your own initiative or as a team
- Used to working in controlled environments and with a focus on quality and safety
