An opportunity to work with a market leading food business who are brand leaders. Quality and Innovation are valued and we are seeking an individual to join them in this key role ensuring that their supplier base share and uphold their standards and values around quality and food safety.
The role:
- Working closely with the Technical Manager you play a key role in developing suppliers to ensure raw material quality, availability, safety, ethical and legal standards are met.
- You will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support the delivery of NPD and EPD projects.
- Have an excellent awareness and ownership of a range of areas covering allergens, nutrition, and shelf life projects.
- Supporting the supplier audit program and complaints management and resolution.
About you:
- Degree or HND qualified in a relevant discipline (Food Science/Food Technology or related)
- Some experience already gained within a food manufacturing environment with a good grounding of understanding around food safety and HACCP
- An understanding of a breadth of products including high and low risk is advantageous
- A hands on, enthusiastic individual with real passion for food and quality and able to build strong long term relationships with the supplier base.
The role will be office based with some planned international travel.
