The role:
- Working closely with the Head Of Technical you’ll play a key role in monitoring & managing suppliers to ensure raw material quality, availability, safety, ethical and legal standards are met.
- You will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support the delivery of NPD and EPD projects.
- An excellent awareness and ownership of a range of areas covering allergens, nutrition, and shelf life projects.
- Supporting the supplier audit program and complaints management and resolution.
About you:
- Degree or HND qualified in a relevant discipline (Food Science/Food Technology or related)
- Some experience already gained within a Technical or QA Managerial role within a food manufacturing environment with a good grounding of understanding around food safety and HACCP
- Breadth of product exposure including chilled/fresh produce would be advantageous
- A hands on, enthusiastic individual with real passion for food and quality and able to build strong long term relationships with the supplier base.
- Experience in managing a team & supporting/developing direct reports would be advantageous
A valid driving licence will be required as frequent, planned travel will be necessary.
