Specifications Technologist
Working for one of the world’s biggest food manufacturers in the world, who produce some of the most recognisable Branded food products in your household. They are seeking an experienced Specification Technologist to join their team. The role of a Specification Technologist will play a key part within the project team as you’ll be in charge of implementing a fully integrated product specification system. You will ensure that the product development and specification principles are implemented effectively across every product within the system.
The role
- Responsible for the product specifications and documentation to provide technical support.
- Maintain a database of product specifications and online retailer specifications and liaise with the technical and development teams
- Dealing with customer enquiries and resolving them where possible.
- Completing online and manual specification templates with recipe information, ingredients declaration, nutritional, allergen and all relevant safety and legal detail.
You
- Experience in a previous specifications role within in the Food Industry or graduate with work experience in similar role
- Degree qualified in a food related discipline or equivalent industry experience
- Able to maintain the gold standard for specifications
- Strong IT Computer skills is essential, excel and SAP knowledge is preferred
- Work under your own initiative and be able to manage a task through to completion.
- Organised, methodical and detail orientated.
- Effective communicator.
